Gases

BOC provides:

• atmospheric gases - oxygen, nitrogen and argon
• medical gases - oxygen, air and combinations such as Entonox and Heliox
• other pure gases for a range of applications - hydrogen, helium, carbon dioxide, etc
• special gases - a wide range (over 3,000) of pure gases and mixtures for a vast array of applications
• fuel gases - for fabrication and manufacturing

to virtually every market sector in the country:

• heavy industry - including steelmaking, oil refining, glass making, chemical plants, etc
• fabrication - gases for welding and cutting
• healthcare - gases for hospitals, emergency services and for patient care in the home
• research - universities, laboratories, etc
• refrigeration - for industrial coldstores and also for HVAC
• food and beverage - cryogenic gases for food freezing, gases for food preservation and packaging (including MAP), for carbonating drinks and for dispensing in pubs and restaurants
• retail - helium for party balloons

Gases can be provided in a variety of ways:

• by pipeline - for our largest customers with very high volume demand
• bulk - by tanker to customers' own storage facilities
• mini-bulk - as cryogenic liquids on a regular delivery basis from our Cryospeed service
• cylinders - as compressed gases in pressurised cylinders available from thousands of outlets around the country.

Equipment

BOC stocks:

• Personal Protective Equipment - to ensure workers' safety when handling gases
• welding equipment - to complement our range of industrial gases
• ancillary equipment - from cylinder valves and regulators to fire arrestors

Training

BOC can provide relevant training to ensure that workers and managers are aware of current regulations and legislation - and that they are properly trained to use industrial gases and equipment safely.
