Introduction to our Competency Model

Linde’s Behavioural Competency Model is a global set of behavioural standards to be used for employees across the whole of the Linde organisation.

These competencies link directly to our High Performing Organisation vision and strategy, focussing on the behaviours that support a High Performing Organisation.

What does the Model Look Like?

There are 12 competencies, grouped into 4 categories. Progression from Level D to Level A assumes proficiency at the previous level.

Our competencies are split into four themes:

Our Behavioural Competency Model is firmly anchored in our Values and Foundation Principles

Behavioural competencies give a clear direction and state the expectations that the company has of its employees.

They are firmly anchored in our values:

  • Passion to Excel
  • Innovating for Customers
  • Empowering People
  • Thriving through Diversity

They reaffirm our commitment to our Foundation Principles: Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Respect. They guide our day-to-day actions and decisions and challenge us to become truly Leading.
