BOC recognises that all industrial and chemical processes have impacts on the environment. It seeks to reduce impacts on the environment - both those due to its own processes and those due to more general human activity.
We all share one planet but the stresses placed upon natural resources by humanity are becoming ever clearer. BOC and its staff are actively engaged in activities to reduce environmental impacts both locally and in the wider community.
BOC's own internal production processes are subject to company-wide environmental policies supervised by its Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) function.
In addition, BOC has been closely involved with a number of its customers in helping them to reduce their environmental impacts through measures as diverse as helping them reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the efficiency of their processes, developing hydrogen fuel-cell applications and improving waste water treatment processes.
