BOC Shines a Light on the Properties of Gases

BOC, the UK's largest provider of industrial gases, will be explaining to a new generation the science that lies behind the products it supplies to virtually every industry in the UK - from steelmaking, through medical and food applications to the party balloons available in every high street.

BOC, a member of The Linde Group, is taking part in the Schools Programme at this year's British Science Festival, which takes place from 5-10 September at the University of Surrey in Guildford.
The company will be running a series of demonstrations during the festival showing some of the more interesting scientific properties of the gases in the air around us, such as oxygen and nitrogen, as well as other less common gases (at least on earth) like hydrogen and helium. BOC will also be participating in the exhibition of science-related companies at this year's Festival.
