Trade News - BOC secures long-term supply deal with SSI Steel UK
BOC today announced it has signed a long-term agreement to supply industrial gases to one of the biggest steelmakers in the UK, SSI Steel UK. The 15-year agreement is one of the largest gases contracts ever awarded in the UK and follows SSI’s purchase of the Teesside steelworks from Tata Steel in 2010.

BOC, the UK’s leading industrial gases and clean energy company, is to invest in a further 10 dual-fuel heavy goods vehicles for its national delivery fleet. In addition, the company will install a back-to-base Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) refuelling unit at its Middlesbrough site on Teesside to service the new vehicles.
