FOODEX – 24th - 26th March, NEC, Birmingham. Stand Q370
BOC, the UK & Ireland’s largest supplier of industrial gases and related equipment, is showcasing its latest developments in cryogenic freezing technology at Foodex 2014. Two new freezers have been recently launched onto the market, offering manufacturers exceptionally high quality freezing that improves product yields, yet all within a small footprint.
The CRYOLINE® CW is a unique multi-purpose freezer which combines high-quality individually quick frozen (IQF) freezing characteristics with the efficiency of an in-line tunnel, allowing users to switch product lines easily and efficiently. Freezing with cryogenic gas results in exceptionally high quality IQF; ensuring product quality through minimal dehydration, combined with the added benefit of product yields up to 99.5%.
Committed to innovation and pushing the boundaries of cryogenic freezing technology, BOC, which is part of The Linde Group, is challenging the volume capabilities of mechanical systems with the development of the new CRYOLINE® XF spiral freezer. Delivering up to 10 times the heat transfer rate of its mechanical counterparts and reducing dehydration levels by up to 80%, the XF is ideal for those with limited floor space thanks to its 50% smaller footprint.
BOC’s Senior Technical Food Specialist Keith Nicholson says: “The market is becoming increasingly competitive with pressure on manufacturers to ensure the highest levels of product quality, yet also needing to keep costs to a minimum. The new additions to the CRYOLINE® range of freezers can make a significant difference to these crucial factors and is capable of processing a wide variety of products from raw and cooked meats and seafood to bakery products and ready meals.”
Scale models of the two freezers will be available on BOC’s stand for visitors to view and BOC’s expert technical team will be on hand to explore individual’s freezing and chilling requirements during the show.
