Our Charges & Payment Methods
Charges Associated With Cylinder Gases
- There are four elements associated with gas purchases from BOC: gas price, environment and energy surcharge, fixed charge, cylinder rental. The different price elements cover the different costs associated with supplying cylinder gases. Read more about cylinder gas charges
- Propane is a factored product and is produced either as a by product from the refinement of crude oil or through the extraction of natural gas from gas fields. Read more about the propane surcharge
- BOC do not manufacture refrigerants; product is bought in bulk and re-packed to suit customer needs. Producers are currently experiencing a global shortage of refrigerant feedstocks which is reducing the amount of product available for the market. Combined with plant closures and current industrial action at a key supplier’s site the refrigerant market faces unprecedented shortages and cost increases. Read more about refrigerant surcharges
- The manufacture of industrial gases is highly energy intensive. Very large quantities of electricity are required to run air separation plants that produce oxygen, nitrogen and argon. The Enviroment and Energy Surcharge is applied to recover exceptional movements in energy costs. Read more about the environment and energy surcharge
