Laser process
The term "Laser" is an acronym for the description of the laser process: Laser Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. In other words: A beam of light is amplified by supplying a laser-active medium with energy, exciting it and then using already existing radiation to stimulate it to emit radiation itself.
Lasers provide an intense energy source, which is ideally suited to a wide range of fabrication processes such as cutting, welding, drilling and marking metal and other materials. Laser gases play a fundamental role in the operation of a laser.
Laser gases
Laser gases are used to generate the laser light. The correct gas quality is essential to maintain high laser reliability and ensure process productivity.
Assist gases
The choice of assist gas is extremely important and can have a significant effect on the process quality and productivity.
