Municipal Water Treatment

Ensuring compliance with legislation, delivering high standards of customer service together with shareholder value while trying to minimise operating costs, such as energy, is a tough set of challenges for the municipal water industry. 

These are coupled with the scrutiny of Ofwat, the Water Framework Directive and the effects of climate change, all of which pose further technical challenges for the water industry.

BOC's considerable expertise over the last 30 years has developed robust technologies, tailored products and services to be developed which can contribute to meeting the strong requirements of drinking water quality.  These include supporting new large capital projects with temporary additional oxygenation capability, increasing water hardness with lime and controlling pH with CO2, oxygen for ozone generation for trace organics, colour and EDC removal, upgrading air-based ozone generation plants with pure oxygen, oxygenation of sewage in pumped rising mains preventing septicity and eliminating odour.
