The Apprentice Welders' Competition is sponsored by BOC.

We’re delighted that you are taking the time to encourage your Learners to participate in this competition.

The Competition is open to any Apprentices, Trainees and Full-Part Time Learners who are following a recognised national craft qualification in welding.

In addition, you’ll find details of the test pieces for the regional and national competitions.
BOC will provide the following:

Prizes for all levels of the competition
A bursary to cover the cost of the welding materials for the Regional and Home Nation finals (Levels B & C)
PR support to the overall competition
One night's hotel accommodation for competitors only entering the Home nation & UK national finals.

Training Providers will provide all the welding materials required for their own Level A competition.

BOC is the sole commercial sponsor of this competition and no other sponsor is to be involved without BOC’s permission.

At BOC we do not see the final competition as the end and will actively encourage competitors who have the potential to represent the UK in future international welding competitions should they meet the required profile for age and personality and have developed the required welding skills.
