Engel Formenbau und Spritzguss wanted to improve their manufacturing process of high-quality gas injection-moulded components, so they came to The Linde Group to help search for the answers. Linde's liquid nitrogen flushing solution helped them to increase productivity and lower their costs.

BOC has built and now operates the UK’s first open-access, 350/700 bar hydrogen refuelling station in Swindon. Developers and operators of hydrogen vehicles can register to fill up their vehicles at this state-of-the-art facility, situated within easy reach of London, the Midlands and Wales.

The MALCO process: overcoming structural distortions in welding
The performance of robotic welding systems can be compromised by distortion that occurs in the welded structure. Manufacturers have long been seeking a Low Stress No Distortion (LSND) welding system that strengthens the structure without interfering in the welding process. CIRRUS® VEC: Ensuring the highest emission control standards
Aesica turns to its long-standing business partner BOC to help it control emissions from a new exhaust gas stream. Already a buyer of liquid nitrogen, Aesica was keen to explore how Linde’s VOC abatement solution, CIRRUS® VEC (Vapour Emission Control), could not only resolve its emission control challenge, but also enable it to get better value from its liquid nitrogen.
LINDOFLAMM®: reducing the risk of hydrogen cracking by pre-heating
The risk of hydrogen cracking is an ongoing concern for steelwork contractors. BOC were approached by a customer to review how hydrogen cracking could be reduced which had become more frequent since production output was increasing. A solution to both the quality and productivity issues was found by using BOC’s patented LINDOFLAMM® special burners with Acetylene.
LINDOFLAMM®: removing of distortion in post welded steel
BOC were approached to provide a solution to remove distortion in the deck of a ship. The unevenness was caused whilst welding small sections of steel together to create a very large, flat steel surface. BOC provided a solution to use an oxy-acetylene flame to remove distortion.
Flame cutting: increasing productivity through efficient process
A leading UK steelwork contractor approached BOC to improve their productivity in their cutting process. One of the main areas BOC helped support the customer was by removing bottlenecks which had begun developing in their cutting procedures.
