Our range includes gas applications for welding, brazing and cutting; special gas mixtures for thermal spraying; welding products and consumables; welding equipment, and safety products, and speciality products for areas such as CO2 emissions testing.
We also offer an Integrated Supply Management service (ISM) to help manage your supply chain, so you only have one welding products supplier / distributor to deal with instead of many.
What you need, where and when you need it
Automotive clients can rely on BOC to help you make an informed choice of the most appropriate gas mixture.
We’ll take into consideration the type of material being used – carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium – your chosen process, and the importance you place on the finish of your vehicle component and productivity.
The right gas for welding and brazing
If you want to improve productivity and the quality of finished components it’s important to select the correct gas mixture for the job, depending on the parent material and thickness.
Using shielding gas to protect the finished weld from the effects of oxidization is well recognized, but it has many other benefits, including strengthening weld metal and improving the weld appearance. Adding helium to a shielding gas such as argon improves fusion too.
BOC’s network of technical support engineers (TSE) and onsite customer development engineers (CDE) provides local expertise supported by the global infrastructure we enjoy as part of The Linde Group.
Our experts help you to optimise gas processes, advise on correct gas mixtures for maximum productivity and desired finish, and deliver a wide range of health and safety training courses.
Whatever your need, at BOC we see ourselves as partners with our automotive customers – helping you achieve your business aims, to handle industrial gases safely, and to develop innovations together to meet tomorrow’s manufacturing challenges.
