- Why are you changing the delivery days?
One of the key factors for keeping our deliveries to customers on time and without shortages is through optimal utilisation of our vehicles and cylinders. Therefore, we constantly review the way we run our operations and implement changes where appropriate.
The change in delivery dates allows us to plan the stock availability in our distribution centres and our delivery routes well in advance. This helps to reduce any missed deliveries and improve product availability resulting in improved security of supply and a reduced risk of shortages.
We want to be a reliable partner and deliver all the products you need on the date we promise. This change will help us do just that.
- What is my new delivery day?
Your new delivery date* has been communicated to you via a letter or through your account manager. Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Service Centre and they will be happy to advise you of the next planned date for your delivery.
*Where we consider it necessary or desirable in the future, we reserve the right to revise these indicative delivery days and/or make further changes to delivery arrangements.
- Can I change my delivery day?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. All your deliveries are part of a fixed delivery route from the local delivery hub.
- What option do I have to receive next day delivery?
If you need to order products for next day delivery, this can be arranged by requesting an “emergency delivery” for an additional fee via our Customer Service Centre.
Alternatively, you can always come to one of our Gas & Gear stores or Agents and buy the gas directly from them.
- I often see your delivery vehicles drive nearby. Why can they not deliver to me?
The scale of BOC operations and supplies brings a lot of complexities.
BOC has a limited number of centralised filling and production sites that supply not only the local area but also other parts of the UK.
A large proportion of the BOC fleet is not involved in customer deliveries but are transferring the products to other delivery or production hubs.
