BOC has become the exclusive distributor of the Ohio Medical Corporation range of suction therapy devices in the UK.
The deal, which expands BOC Healthcare’s equipment portfolio, positions the company as a total solutions and service provider for suction and oxygen therapy (SOT) equipment.
The agreement kicks off with BOC, part of The Linde Group, launching a new patented technology ‘Push-To-Set™’ vacuum regulator range. This equipment has a unique mechanism that automatically establishes a vacuum limit with each vacuum level setting or change thereby eliminating any need to occlude. For the medical practitioner, it offers a reliable method of setting the regulator for safe suctioning and reduces risk to the patient.
The agreement, which also sees BOC Healthcare supplying Ohio Medical’s legacy range of vacuum regulators, builds on the company’s 2008 agreement with BPR Medical Ltd which brought oxygen therapy equipment into the BOC fold.
A managed equipment service offering supports BOC’s newly-extended range of SOT equipment. This enables hospitals to outsource the responsibility of co-ordinating, managing and providing routine servicing and maintenance of all SOT devices and focus on the real job to hand – patient care.
