BOC and Stobart’s dual-fuel strategy on the road to success
BOC and logistics specialists the Stobart Group have been working with the Technology Strategy Board to deliver a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) refuelling station for Eddie Stobart’s near Warrington, Cheshire.
The refuelling station has now been operational since 2013 and serves 20 vehicles.
Phil Spittle, Eddie Stobart General Manager for Fleet Compliance, advised: “The Technology Strategy Board grant, matched by our own investment, has helped drive forward our commitment to sustainable distribution. The transition from diesel to BOC’s dual fuel technology has been extremely smooth and has allowed us to help stimulate innovation in the logistics sector. The use of dual fuel vehicles is an exciting development and will support the increasing need for Eddie Stobart and its customers to reduce their carbon footprint.”
