Gas application technologies for the steel industry

Who is it for?
OXYGON^® XL uses the same technology as OXYGON^® 400 but is equipped with a 1.5 MW burner suitable for vessels with capacities between 30 and 150 tonnes.

How does it work?
An OXYGON^® XL plug&play system is mounted in the vessel lid and the accompanying control system automatically controls the combustion processes, seamlessly switching between traditional oxyfuel and complete flameless combustion.

Who is it for?
REBOX^® HLL is designed for customers looking for a simple, cost-effective way of optimising reheating furnaces that can be deployed on demand and does not require major changes to the existing furnace infrastructure.

How does it work?
Oxygen lances are mounted in the furnace walls next to your conventional burners. These are then used to inject oxygen with high velocity and replace the majority of air used for combustion. The REBOX^® HLL system can be turned off at any time, enabling the furnace to revert back to its previous operating mode.

Who is it for?
REBOX^® flameless oxyfuel solutions are targeted at operators of continuous and batch-type reheating furnaces looking to maximise production capacity.

How does it work?
This flameless oxyfuel combustion system replaces existing burners and uses 100% oxygen instead of combustion air.

• Up to 50% throughput gains due to improved radiation and low flue gas volumes
• Lower flue gas temperatures and volumes allowing a shorter dark/recuperative zone

Who is it for?
REBOX^® DFI is for customers looking for rapid pre-heating, degreasing as well as pre-oxidation of steel strips in continuous galvanising and annealing lines.

How does it work?
A REBOX^® DFI burner is installed on each side of your strip; high intensity flames then impinge the surface of the strip, ensuring rapid heat transfer and degreasing.

• Up to 30% increase in productivity due to rapid pre-heating
• Surface pre-oxidation to promote wetting in subsequent process steps
• Effective degreasing of the strip surface
